Bayaga, the Familiar

Bayaga barely remembers her life as a grimalkin, before Rhea the Witch of Westmarch Woods. She remembers the constant hunger. She remembers the fear. And she remembers when Rhea came to her, fed her, took her in as she lurched over her cauldron, whispering secret incantations. When Bayaga grew sick, she remembers Rhea dropping her into the bubbling pot, and arising, transformed. Rhea gave her wings, a way to escape the life she hated. But Bayaga now knew love and loyalty, and would fight for Rhea, trapped under her manipulative thumb, in more danger now than she ever faced alone in the wood.

Bodom, the Osiris Engine

Bodom, the Osiris Engine’s core lights up brighter than the sun, collecting energy from all life around it to unleash a decimating beam. Powering up is often enough to strip the flesh from his enemies’ bones. Known in whispers as “The Engine,” even the most magically enhanced blades break upon striking Bodom’s reinforced metal flesh. The eastward march of armies intent on slaying the dragon brought rumors of its true origin, as a traveler from another dimension far beyond the Wyrm Gate, where technology and dragonkin have merged into an entirely unique terror.

Boreas, Northern Fury

Thousands of Vicar’s men and the women warriors of the Methestique Isles nocked flaming arrows. To call it a mere dragon is to do the creature an injustice — Boreas is icy fury barely contained by flesh. The arrows froze mid-flight and fell. With each step, icicles crashed from his flesh. General Vicar ordered five hundred trebuchets to fire their burning balls of lead, lit with the never-ending fire of the Molten Fields. Boreas shrieked as they burst upon him. Seconds later, his daughter Khione the Snow Mistress, came to his aid, like the frozen reaper come to harvest. Excerpt From the Recollections of Vicar’s Conquest, Volume III

Botan, Mother of Guardians

Sara knew the egg couldn’t be real. Little girls didn’t win dragon eggs, especially not at random, and not in Pirth. But what if, she wondered, walking back to the house with her brother, Hue, festival fireworks shooting off in the distance. Was it really impossible? No, she resolved. Sometimes little girls did win dragon eggs, especially during magic nights like the Midnight Festival. That was about the only time it could happen. Later in bed, she pulled the covers over her head and whispered to the egg, “Anyone in there?” That’s when the bed started to shake and a brilliant blue dragon eye appeared at the window. It winked.

Bounteous the Abundant Father

Wars have taken their toll on Arcania and as a result there is great need all over the planet. Society lies in ruin and it is believed that white dragons are the last hope of the human species. Appearing in human form as an elderly beggar, Bounteous is the harbinger of charity, leading an enormous host of dragons. The champion of the legendary Aequinox and with many cities and settlements under his protection, he is like a god to many. Black and red dragon raids are the greatest threat to society, but for now there is delicate balance. Why white dragons have taken up the cause of humanity is unknown.

Brakish, the Living Earth

The forests and jungles of Arcania account for tens of thousands of miles. After all of the ages of men, the land still has places of unchanged prehistoric secrecy where the earth calls for life and death, decay and rebirth. Insects and animals grow very large here, making it inhospitable to humans but not to other races. Brakish is the largest of the ancient land dragons. Magic orders of men once worshipped her only to learn the dragon’s disinterest in the affairs of what she refers to as “the clay peoples”. Brown dragons lives in large family groups and are reclusive by nature.
